358 rooms, Yavapai Lodge is Grand Canyon National Park Lodges' largest facility and is surrounded by pinyon and juniper woodlands, about 1/4 mile from the rim. With modern rooms and many services within a few steps, this is a convenient choice for families. Yavapai East rooms feature in-room air conditioning and Yavapai West rooms have vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans. The Lodge is located next to the Market Plaza, which includes a general store, bank, and U.S. Post Office. The National Park Service Visitor Center is within a short walk - approximately 1/2 mile. Yavapai Lodge features a cafeteria that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The curio shop has a wide range of gifts and a transportation / activities desk is located in the lobby. Most rooms offer two queen beds and there are a limited number of rooms with one king bed. All rooms have television, telephone, and full baths. There are also wheelchair-accessible rooms. Yavapai Lodge is normally open March through November and during winter holiday periods. |

The ten single-story buildings in Yavapai Lodge west section offer 160 guest rooms feature vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans. All guest rooms feature two queen beds and full bathroom. There is no air conditioning in the rooms.
The elevation of Grand Canyon South Rim is 6900 feet above sea level. The highest average low temperature at night is 54 °F (12 °C) in July. So guests can normally stay comfortably in the rooms without air conditioning. These rooms are fully occupied year round.
