49 rooms, conveniently located between El Tovar and Bright Angel Lodge, Kachina and Thunderbird are twin contemporary lodges. Located on the Canyon rim, half of the rooms at the Kachina and Thunderbird Lodges have partial canyon views. All of the rooms are ideally suited for families. Rooms have two queen beds, television, a telephone and full baths. Rooms designed for guests with physical disabilities are available. These lodges offer easy walking access to the dining facilities at either El Tovar or Bright Angel Lodge.
Guests staying at the Kachina Lodge check in at El Tovar and Thunderbird Lodge guests check in at Bright Angel Lodge. Please note rooms with Canyon views cannot be guaranteed. |

 Standard Rooms
All Rooms are non-smoking standard motel-style rooms with one king bed or two queen beds, television, a telephone and full bathrooms with shower and tub, hair dryers, TV, in-room coffee maker, refrigerator, CD player/clock radio/alarms, in-room safes, iron & ironing boards, telephone, data port connection and evaporative cooling system. Evaporative cooling system is similar to an air conditioning and you can control your room temperature.
The building is located along the rim of the Grand Canyon next to El Tovar Hotel, where Kachina guests check in. Please note rooms with Canyon views cannot be guaranteed. Sleeps up to 4 people, adults or children. Rollaway beds can not be added. Crib can be added. Pets and/or cooking are not allowed in the room. Rooms have interior entrances.
